I'm sorry for your loss. I graduated with Verna and reset her years later through Nita Boulet. I remember her as always smiling and that's how I'll remember her now.

So very sorry to hear about her passing. It seems like life passes by so quickly. I would have loved to talk to her about genealogy because we were most like related.

We (our class of 66) have reached the age of increasing diminished numbers. Please be consoled that she was worthy of God's love and she has been recalled to his presence and affection. Even though I now live in New Braunfels, consider me there for the service anyhow.

One of my mom's best friend - loved then and loved now. I remember mom trying to talk like Verna, in that deepened voice. They'd laugh until they cried many mornings sitting at a small oak kitchen table while drinking coffee and cackle about god only knows what. Verna came to mom's funeral in May 1998 and couldn't even speak but I knew what she wanted to say. Love love love Verna. Now she can say everything she wants.
