Verna Wallace Verna Wallace, 80, of Groves, Texas passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014. She was born on September 11, 1933 in Welch, Louisiana to Ophie Bulley and Lessie Broussard Bulley. Verna had lived in Groves for 62 years and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2014 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Travis Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Verna is survived by her husband, John Dudley Wallace, Jr. of Groves, two daughters, Jerri McCown of Port Neches and Lalona Saunders and husband, Roy of Suffolk, VA., two sons, Don Wallace and wife, Vicky of Boca Raton, FL., and John D. Wallace, III and wife, Alyson of Kingwood, TX., sister, Clara Broussard of Lake Arthur, LA., eight grandchildren, Sean Wallace, Hillary Wallace, Justine Wallace, Savannah Gibson and husband, Aaron, Sarah Hewett and husband, Bevan, Ashley Saunders, Madison Wallace, Matthew Wallace, and great grandson Corlen Gibson.
