Veva Hollier, 72, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at Port Arthur Community Retirement Home. Veva was born March 20, 1946 in Utah to David and Nancy Purdon. She was a resident of Port Neches for 48 years and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches. She was a retired Diagnostician and Professor at Lamar University in Port Arthur. Veva was a US Air Force Veteran and an avid PN-G Indian fan. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches followed by the funeral at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Veva was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hollier, Sr., her son, Tony Hollier, sister, Lisa Purdon, and grandson, Ryan Allen. Surviving relatives include her daughter, Jolyn Hollier of Pearland; son, Tim Hollier and wife Kelly of Port Neches; daughter-in-law, Christa Hollier of Port Neches; sister, Celia Crowe and husband Nathan; brothers, Dana Purdon and wife Tracy, and David Purdon; grandchildren, Anthony Hollier, Angela Harrington and husband Allen, Natasha Landry, Dustin Landry, and Brylee Hollier, 6 great-grandchildren.
