Victor Lynn Lovelady, 57, of Nederland, Texas passed away January 19, 2013. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on July 31, 1955 to the late Dewey and Laura Green Lovelady. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland and was an industrial engineer and was an electrician out of Local 479.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Dan Malain officiating. A gathering of the family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the church, 211 Hardy Avenue in Nederland. A private graveside service will be held at a later date under the ion of Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland.Victor is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Maureen Lovelady of Nederland daughter, Erin Lovelady of Nederland son, Grant Lovelady of Nederland and brother, Mike Lovelady and wife, Wanda and their children Kevin, Jason and Ashley of Nederland.

Rick and Victor worked together while Rick was attending law school and working for Petrocon which is now Englobal. Rick tells me Victor was a great man that came from a good family. After Rick graduated from law school and left Petrocan our son Jason went to work at Petrocon and was lucky to be able to meet and work with Victor. Jason tells me his Dad is right. Victor also cared about all thoser he knew. He would call my son to just see how he and the family was doing and what they were up to. He will be greatly missed.
