Viola (Vi) Frances Klauman Giblin It is with great sorrow that we report the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Viola (Vi) Frances Klauman Giblin, who died on November 16, 2012, at the age of 94, at the nursing home where she was living for the past 3 years. Viola was born July 8, 1918 in Cuba, Kansas to Edward and Anna Klauman. After graduating from Kansas Business School, Viola moved to California. After working various jobs, Viola, went to work for Howard Hughes in the payroll department. Before planting her roots in Groves, Texas, Viola lived and worked in California, Nebraska and Kansas. In the late 70's she moved to Houston where she worked for Kelsey Seybold Medical Clinic then the McGovern Medical Clinic. After moving back to Groves she worked for St. Peter's Catholic Church. Viola was a devout Catholic, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Reverend Monsignor Bennie Patillo officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service to begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Viola was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Anna Klauman and sister, Mary Klauman Barton. She is survived by her 4 daughters, Sharon F. Haines and husband Chippy of Port Neches, Texas; Kathleen Giblin and husband Don Miller of Pflugerville, Texas; Pamela Blanchard of Port Neches, Texas; Sandy Root and husband Tom of San Leon, Texas; her 3 sons, Robert Giblin and wife Vickie, Ronnie Giblin and wife Suzanne, and Michael Giblin all of Port Neches, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

I have fond memories of seeing Vi at family gatherings and around the holidays. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Giblin family.

Deepest sympathies to all my cousins on the loss of your dear Mother. She was a special lady and I have so many fond memories of her. She always went out of her way for her kids, even those of us she treated as her own. Many prayers and much love to all of you!
