Violeta Socorro Castillo, 58, of Port Arthur passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. She was born on April 4, 1954 in Managua, Nicaragua to Hermogenes Hernandez and Daysi Miranda. Violeta had lived in this area since 1979 and was a devoted housekeeper and loving nanny for 21 years to the Giblin family of Port Neches. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Pastor Luis Cruz of La Luz Del Mundo Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Violeta is survived by her husband of 41 years, Luis Castillo of Port Arthur, mother, Daysi Miranda of Port Arthur, three daughters, Zenayda Newsom and husband, Damian of Groves, Daysi Valencia and husband, Carlos of Slidell, LA., and Olga Lamance of Nederland, five sons, Luis Castillo and wife, Martha of Houston, Jay Castillo of Port Arthur, Nathan Castillo and wife, Madeline of Houston, Moses Castillo and Crystal Post of Groves, and Jonathan Castillo and wife, Maheli of Cleveland, sister, Rosa Villareyna of Nederland, three brothers, Mario Hernandez and wife, Herenia of Port Arthur, Jaime Hernandez and wife, Connie of Port Arthur, and Antonio Hernandez of San Antonio, twenty two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
