Virgil Wallace Poole, Sr., passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Virgil was born on September 2, 1939 in Starks, Louisiana to George and Cora Poole.

      Virgil enjoyed playing guitar and fishing, in his younger years.

      Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, George Lee Poole, Sr. and Cora Lee (Hock) Poole; wife, Patricia Ann Poole; brother, George Lee Poole, Jr.

      Those left to cherish Virgil’s memory include his daughter, LaDonna Jean Fox of Oklahoma, son, Virgil Wallace Poole, Jr. of Oklahoma; stepson, Jerry Langford, Jr. and wife, Irma; stepdaughters, Denise Zehrung and Gary McCurley of Lumberton; Cynthia Lynn Zeno; sister, Elva Jean Perkins Waldrup of Nacogdoches; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

      A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., at Calvary Cemetery; 3700 25th St., Port Arthur, TX 77642.
