Virginia Myers, 94, of Port Arthur, Texas died Friday, February 9, 2018 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. Virginia was born June 8, 1923 in Croweville, Louisiana to Nora and TK Bradley. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 73 years and retired from Gibson's Department Store after 17 years of service as an Assistant Manager. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed a close friendship with her roomate at Magnolia Manor, Ms. Feddie Moore. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday evening from 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at the funeral home. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Carl Myers; her parents; three brothers, Luther Bradley, Leo Bradley, and Raymond Bradley; three sisters, Irene Barrieaux, Louise Nacol, and Hazel Roberson. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Wacha and husband, George of Palestine, TX, and Cathy Myers of Port Arthur, TX; four sons, Jerry Myers and wife, Dianne of Gettysburg, PA, Kenneth Myers and wife, Kay of Groves, TX, David Myers of Groves, TX, and Dennis Myers of Port Arthur, TX; one sister, Lavergne Bradley of Tallulah, Louisiana; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Virginia's family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Magnolia Manor for providing excellent care to their loved one.
