Virginia "Nell" Sconiers Barbay, 92, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Mid-Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Nederland, Texas. Nell was born November 21, 1924 in Cooper, Texas to William Glidewell Boyd and Eugenia Hazel Vaughn Boyd. She was a homemaker and a resident of this area for thirty years. Nell was a member of First United Methodist Church in Port Neches where she was a member of the church choir. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Newcomers Club, and Jefferson County Singles Club. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Reverend Michael Peschke officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the funeral home. Nell was preceded in death by her first husband, Ansel Sconiers, second husband, Nelson Price, third husband, Clayton Barbay, and her daughter, Sue Anne Sconiers. Surviving relatives include her son, Eddie Sconiers and wife Mamie of New Castle, Wyoming; three grandchildren, Jodie Ann Wilt and husband Larry, Barbara Batson and husband Jeff, and Nicholas Sconiers; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

I am so sorry for Nells passing. I have been a friend of hers for numerous,years and will surely miss her. She was a very sweet lady and the choir will also miss her.
