Virginia Mae Thornton, 88, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Cascades Senior Rehab in Port Arthur, Texas.
Virginia was born on June 7, 1935, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to J.L. and Jessie Griffith. She was a wife, mother and a homemaker who took care of her family who she loved. Virginia enjoyed cooking, traveling and going to the beach. She had a strong faith in God with her Baptist Faith but she mainly loved her family who loved her dearly.
Virginia is survived by her son, Steven Fletcher of Nederland. She is preceded in death by her husband, Everest Frank Fletcher, Jr., her son, Frank Edward Fletcher; her sister, Hazel Patin; her brothers, Charles Griffin and James Griffin.
Private cremation services will be held at a later date. Services were handled by Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
