Volney was a sweetheart who's smile could light up a room. When my husband, Chuck Reed, and Volney were in North PA Lions Club and our daughter, Heather, had cancer. Volney and Willie Wilmer made her feel like a queen and made her an honorary Lion member. I will always remember and love him for his kindness and caring ways. He will be greatly missed. Chuck and me are so very sorry for your loss. No one can replace our wonderful Volney. Prayers and comfort for your family at this time.

Carolyn & Ken: I'm so sorry to read about your Dad's passing. Wow, 100--that's hard to believe. But even worse, almost 101. He ought to get credit for that--1 day; that's not fair. I always liked your Dad--what a character.

"Pinder" was our neighbor - across the freeway - in Houston. He worked with my husband Jim at IRS and they were together at Lamar. Pinder and Florence stood with us at our wedding in 1966. We enjoyed our friendship and many visits back and forth across 610. Pinder was kind, bright, and quick witted. He will be missed.

Pinder was one of a kind! He will be missed terribly. I will fondly remember all our times out and about and how Florence would be so mad at us for turning a 2 hour job into an all day affair! Pinder was the best!
