I remember fondly when Bro. Murchison brought Janelle Glasscock, Preston, and I to the State Young Peoples Meeting in Jacksonville, when I was 13. Five years later, I went to Jacksonville College, and four years later, he performed my wedding to my husband of 41 years.I still live here and occasionally see his niece, my friend and fellow teacher, Nan Stephens. You see, he had a profound influence on my life.Jewel Sheffield Pittman,Jacksonville, Texas

Bro. Murchison was the pastor of East Mayfield Baptist Church in Hemphill when my children were young. So many good memories of he and Mrs. Murchison. They were like parents to all of us. I will never forget him or Mrs. Murchison. He was one of a kind and had a heart of gold. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Murchison family, Our prayers are with you and your whole family at this time of loss. Your Dad did a superb job as a church planter. My family has so many fond memories of your Dad when my Father pastored Temple Baptist Church, Port Neches, a church started by your Dad. We love you! The Rev. Robert Duane Heflin family
