W.T. "Bill" Williams, 93, of Port Arthur, Texas died Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Bill was born October 4, 1916 in Jennings, Louisiana to John S. Williams and Mary Williams. He was a resident of Port Arthur for 80 years and retired as supervisor of water from the City of Port Arthur. He was a member and the general secretary of Procter Baptist Church for over 30 years. He was also a U.S. Army World War II veteran. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 5, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Dr. Rick Erwin, pastor of Procter Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Bess Williams; daughter, Karen Bailey; and son, Kenneth Williams. Survivors include his two daughters, Jean Ruth Capo and husband, Michael of Nederland, Elaine Earl and husband, Terry of Port Neches; three sons, Duane Williams of Benbrook, Harold Williams and wife, Judy of Hurst, Charles Williams of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Jennifer Hinson, Jared Hinson, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Bailey; one great-grandchild, Kalin; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
