Wallace Nugier

Wallace Nugier, 85, of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Wallace was born March 16, 1929 in Erath, Louisiana to Phillip Nugier and Felicie Carol Brien Nugier. He was an area resident for 70 years and retired as a machinist from Standard Alloys after 50 years of service. Wallace was preceded in death by his wife, Jewett Nugier; three brothers, Richard, Emmit and Phillip Nugier; one sister, Nettie Lewis. Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Hamilton of Dayton, TX, Nancy Borel and husband James of Beaumont, TX, Lou Evans and husband Paul of Port Neches, TX; four sons, Phillip Nugier and wife Victoria of Poynette, WI, James Nugier and wife Brenda of Santa Fe, TX, Thomas Nugier and wife Beatrice of Bridge City, TX, Raymond Flurry of Groves, TX; twenty-four grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Kenny Miller and Dianna Delcambre officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr Wallace, you were the kindest and sweetest man I have ever known. Always looked forward to spending a week in your home, in the summer. Always, loved you and your family. It's hard to think of life without you, but thankfully I have a lifetime of wonderful memories that are forever in my heart! I miss you already but know that you are having a beautiful reunion in Heaven! Tell Grandma I love her as well as all the others! I love you Grandpa!!

We are so sad at the passing of such a sweet man, Mr. Nugier. He was always such a warm and friendly influence on our lives. I know Wally holds lots of memories of hanging out in the neighborhood with you guys. Thanks for the memories Mr. Nugier. You certainly earned your angel wings .
