Rev. Walter A. Bayongan, Sr., 73 of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018. He was born in Tabuk City, Kalinga, Philippines on February 25, 1945 to the late Monico Bayongan and Patricia Alsiyang Bayongan. Rev. Walter was an Episcopal priest for 45 years.

Those left to cherish his Rev. Walter’s memory are his wife of 49 years Marlene Bayongan of Port Neches; his daughters, Winnie Robellon and her husband, Joselito of Nederland, Wilma Bayongan Klaus and her husband, Gregory of Port Neches, and Waverly Jenkins and her husband, Chris of Beaumont; his sons, Warren Bayongan of Port Neches, Walter Bayongan, Jr. of Nederland, and Wilmer Bayongan and his wife, Mai Nguyen of Nederland; and his grandchildren, Malaya Bayongan, Luke Bayongan, and Cai Jenkins. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Port Neches on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Mark Chambers officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
