Norma, I just heard about Tom. Regretfully, I don't read any of the papers and I had not heard until today. I considered Tom a great friend. He has been heavy on my mind the last couple of weeks and I got him a card last night to mail today...then I found out the news. I as so sorry for your loss. Although, I consider loosing Tom "our loss" because I thought the world of him. I still remember in 1976, on a Sunday he saved me by giving me a haircut before I went to Fort Worth for my grandmother's funeral the following Monday. I had about 3 weeks of growth of my first beard and he trimmed me up so I looked presentable. I will forever be in debt to him for that favor! My heart is heavy and so very sad. I will miss him terribly. Sincerely, Lloyd "Randy" Haggard

Tom was my barber for almost 30 years before I moved out of the area in 2009. I enjoyed our conversations over those many years and especially enjoyed hearing him speak about his artwork. Norma, my heartfelt condolences to you and your family for your loss.

Norma, I am so sorry to hear that Tommy passed away. I was just asking my dad if he had talked to Tom lately. I was not aware he had been ill. I missed the notice about the services and wanted to make sure Dad was able to go. Tom was such a gentle person. I am glad he was a part of our lives, especially my dad. We talked about their many good times and art trips to the hill country. He was always a good friend to him and for that I am thankful. Those memories last forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I wanted to give the family my Condolences. I am very blessed to be part of this family. It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived. -George S. Patton, Jr. I love my family.
