Walter A. Peveto, 77, of Nederland, Texas passed away on the morning of Monday, August 27, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Walter was born on February 26, 1941 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late, Walter Peveto and Audrey Alice Hebert Peveto.
Walter was a carpenter and he operated his own lawn service for many years. He was also a dedicated parishioner of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.
Those left to cherish Walter’s memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Glynda Peveto; sons, Eric Thames of Nederland and Shad Peveto of Lumberton; daughters, Tangela Holmes and her husband, Kenny of Nederland, Kimberly Barton of Port Arthur, Texas and Natalie Guidry of Orange, Texas; sister, Mary Ellen Sneed of Bridge City, Texas; brother, Thomas Edward Peveto of Orange; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Walter is preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Peveto; and his sister, Barbara Jones.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on the evening of Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at Melancon’s Funeral Home on the morning of Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Hughes, officiant.
Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
