Wanda Deloris Morris, 93, of Port Neches, TX, passed away January 19, 2016 at her residence. She was born November 21, 1922, in Port Arthur, TX to the late James H. Pixley and Mary Emma Robinson.

She is survived by her son, Larry W. Morris; daughter, Kathryn Morris; 5 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Donald William Morris; daughter, Donna Morris and sister, Theda J. Way.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, January 22, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County with Rev. Donald Bean officiating.

Ms. Wanda was our backbone and biggest supporter in S.O.S. (Support our Soldiers) during Desert Storm when our sons and her grandson William were in the war. We have remained friends from day one until this date. She will be missed dearly by all of us. The one that have stayed together and for sure my her grandson, William. She talked so much about him and we all had pictures to share during that time as well. Rest In Peace Ms. Wanda you will be missed dearly.
