Wanda Dougharty Sparks, 84, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at her home in Port Neches with her loving family at her side.

Wanda was born on July 18, 1939, in Newton, Texas to Frankie Kraus Dougharty and Talmadge Dougharty. She was a retired school teacher at Woodcrest Elementary for thirty years. Wanda was a devoted Christian. Her true passion was her family, whom she loved spending time with. She enjoyed cooking, particularly baking and was an avid reader.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-five years, Jack Sparks of Port Neches; children, Joni Sparks Stevenson and her husband Chas of Houston; grandchildren, Reid Reynolds of Port Neches and Mauri Reynolds of Houston.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Tranquility Mausoleum at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas, officiated by Pastors Chas & Joni Stevenson. Services were handled by Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland.
