It is with such sadness that I read of Wendall's passing. I knew him for 20+ years at Bergstrom AFB dealing with him in Accounting and Finance on a weekly basis. He was a wonderful person and I was very fortunate to call him a friend. My deepest sympathy to his family and surviving friends .

So many things happened in the 9th grade. His accident that left him in a wheelchair. My family moved from port Neches and I lost more than a home. Friends and many do not remember me. I have connected with a few on Facebook and here and there. Wendell accepted me as a friend just because I was from Port Neches. Small things can mean a lot and it really did. Prayers for his family and thanks for the example he set. In so many ways. He is running in heaven!
