Wendy Ann Gardner, 53, of Groves, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at her residence in Groves with her loving family at her side.
Wendy was born on December 12, 1969, in Port Arthur, Texas to Linda Clause Lowe Glenn and Johnnie Lowe. She graduated from Port Neches Groves in 1988 and was an Indianette as she took many dance classes since she was a small child. Wendy worked at Home Depot for nine years where she won countless awards because she loved helping people and customers. She enjoyed shopping; decorating and working with crafts. Wendy also loved going to the beach and riding in her jeep with her husband Todd and they also enjoyed cooking together. She enjoyed her companions, her dogs and cats and even her bird especially while it sang. Wendy also cherished her relationship with Jesus Christ and loved going to church. She also loved her Houston Astro’s and watching them with her family and friends especially during their championship years.
Survivors include her husband of seventeen years, Todd “Tex” Gardner of Groves; daughter, Cecily Fontenot Spikes and her husband Tyler of Groves; son, Christopher Fontenot and his wife Courtney of Orange; her mother, Linda Glenn of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; brother, Shawn Lowe and his wife Amelia of Baton Rouge; grandchild, Braylen Spikes of Groves.
Wendy was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Lowe.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. A “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service to Honor the Memory of Wendy Gardner will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private Cremation Services will be held at a later date.
