Mr. Wilbert P. Doucet

Wilbert Pierre Doucet, 84, of Groves, Texas passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Officiating will be Reverend J.C. Coon of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 with a rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Born on October 5, 1937 in Church Point, Louisiana, he was the son of Etienne Doucet and Edna Venable Doucet. Wilbert lived in the area for sixty years and was employed as an ILA longshoreman for over forty-nine years.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Jimmie Doucet; son, Jesse Norris; grandson, Blaed Norris three sisters and three brothers.

Wilbert is survived by his wife, Minnie Doucet of Groves; daughters, Sandy Norris Brown of Groves, Undina Doucet of Allen; step-daughter, Rhonda Johnson and husband Kirk of Iowa, Lousiana; daughter-in-law, Gail Norris of Orangefield; sons, Randy Norris and wife Vicki of Groves, Wesley Doucet and wife Gayla of Beaumont, Jody Doucet and wife Melissa of Mont Belvieu; step-son, Brent LeJeune and wife Leslie of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; sisters, Shirley Kidder of Church Point, Louisiana; brother, Etienne Doucet Jr. of Church Point, Louisiana; grandchildren, Hayley Norris and partner Chase, Heath Norris and wife Mandy, Megan Norris Lytle, Michael Brown and wife Arene, Misty Brown Goodridge and husband Brent, Maicy Brown Kelly and husband Jarrett, David Doucet and wife Alexis, Angelica Doucet, Lauren Doucet Harper and husband Kyle, Brett Doucet, Brice Doucet, Claire Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Daniel LeJeune and Michael LeJeune and thirteen great-grandchildren.
