William "Bill" Jude Boutte, 80, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the Medical Center in Port Arthur, Texas with his loving family at his side.
Bill was born on January 2, 1943, in Port Arthur, Texas to Cora Penn Boutte and Maurice Boutte. He was retired after working as a draftsman in the Oil Industry for many years. William was a “Devout Man of God” and a member of Encounter Church in Groves. He loved to play golf, enjoyed running and dancing; playing cards and socializing. Bill was very friendly and outgoing and was known to be very funny and had a good sense of humor. You knew where you stood with him, there was no “gray area”. He loved his family, friends, co-workers and church members dearly and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Survivors include his wife of seventeen years, Phyllis Nunez Boutte of Port Neches; son, Todd Boutte of Sedro Woolley, Washington and his daughter, Traci Ling and her husband Devin of Bellingham, Washington; sister, Virginia “Bootsie” Gazardo and her husband Ray of Nederland; brother, Howard J. "Buddy" Boutte and his wife Ruby of Richmond, Texas; seven grandchildren, Brennan and his wife Emily, Camryn, Payton, Ireland, Addysen, Maci and Myah,; great grandchildren, Liam, Elliot, Eleanor and Vivienne; Step-son Steven Roccaforte, step- daughter Becky Dunn her husband John step- daughter Dina Stepan her husband Dwayne, step- daughter Leah Drullinger her partner Louis Reinhardt
and eight step-grandchildren, Victoria, Lucien & Sofia Roccaforte, Alexandra & Tristan Dunn, Corbin Stepan & wife Lauren and Riley Drullinger.
A gathering of Family and Friends will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Melancon Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
Serving as Pallbearers, Todd Boutte, Devin Ling, Brennan Trump, Hank Landry, Tristan Dunn, Dwayne Stepan. Honorary Pallbearer will be his brother, Buddy Boutte.
