William S. Gallier, Jr., 69, of Vidor, Texas formerly of Port Arthur passed away October 31, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was born in Port Neches, Texas on May 31, 1944 to the late William Stanford Sr. and Alma “Emma” Savoy Gallier. He was a tug boat captain and served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Rev. Mark Humble officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
William is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Marvin Gallier and Steven Adaway. He is survived by his children, William Gallier of West Lake, Louisiana and Stephanie Gallier of Lake Charles; his grandson, Hayden Jones of Louisiana; step-son, Michael John Dewey and Corrie Marcenac; sisters and brothers, Mary Windham, Wilson Adaway, Jr., Earnest Adaway, Raymond Adaway, Leroy Adaway, Emma Creel, Patricia Sehon, Michael Adaway, Bryan Adaway, James Adaway, and Michael Adaway.
