William E. Gresham "Bill", 79, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Serenity Home Assisted Care Living in Port Arthur, TX. Bill was born October 10, 1932 to Kearby Eugene Gresham and Hallie Marjorie Faw Gresham in Falls County. In 1951 he graduated from Comanche High School. After graduation he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He returned to Port Arthur after serving in the US Army. He was employed by Fina Oil in 1958 and retired as a machinist in 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents Kearby and Hallie Gresham and his beloved wife, Alice Hebert Gresham. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Groves and he served as a Lector. Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Groves and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Bill was an active member in the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Port Arthur where he held numerous offices (President, Past President, District Vice President, and Past Father of District One). Survivors include his daughter Sandra Kidd and husband Jerry; son Henry John Skip Hebert, and wife Lora; granddaughters Kimberly Perkins, and husband Mike, Alisha Poole and husband Clayton; grandson Robby Hebert and wife Courtney; great grandchildren Alexsis Perkins, Aubrey Perkins, Will Poole, Evan Poole, and Lauren Poole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to extend heartfelt and special thanks to the Angels at the Serenity Home for the excellent, compassionate, loving care that was given to Bill. The ladies at the Serenity Home lovingly nicknamed him "Dollar Bill". A special thanks to Texas Home Health Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Bill and his family.
