William "Bill" Thomas Jefferson, 48, of Nederland, Texas passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Bill was born August 6, 1963 in Port Arthur, Texas to Robert William Jefferson and Mary Cloos Jefferson. He was a lifelong area resident and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mary Jefferson. Survivors include two brothers, Alan Jefferson and wife, Deborah of Nederland, TX, and Richard Jefferson of New York, New York. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend D. Stephen McCrate officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bill will be missed! I knew him for a very long time and he was a good friend of my brother, Peter. I guess they are 'catching up' right now! Bill, thanks for being a friend and a big thank you for service to our country.
