William Douglas Lowery, 86, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. William was born February 7, 1931 in Zavalla, Texas to William Albert Lowery and Jewel Gipson Lowery. He was a resident of Port Neches for sixty-two years and was a member of First Baptist Church Port Neches. William retired from Fina Refinery as a Warehouse Clerk and was a US Navy Veteran. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Seventh Street Baptist Church in Nederland with Reverend Kevin "Kicker" McWilliams officiating. Graveside services to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Zavalla Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. William was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lowery and his sister, Joye Jordan. Surviving relatives include his daughter, Sharon Lynn Lowery of Port Neches, Texas; son, Steve Lowery and his wife Kim of Port Neches, Texas; brother, H.G. "Gippy" Lowery and his wife Gayle of New Braunfels, Texas; grandchildren, Terry Bates, Desirae Settlemyer and her husband Tom, Chip Hood, and Charlee Lane and her husband John; great grandchildren, Summer Settlemyer, Autumn Settlemyer, Spring Settlemyer, Tom Winter Settlemyer, Colten Lane and Trevor Lane.
