William "Billy" Paul, a beloved figure, was born on January 2, 1946, in Dallas, Texas. He lived a life defined by dedication, affection, and cherished moments. On March 20, 2025, he departed this world in Nederland, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience.

Billy dedicated his professional life as a Supervisor for ANR Pipeline, contributing significantly to the oil and gas industry. His commitment to his career was matched only by his passion for family and the thrill of life on two wheels, as he held a deep love for motorcycles.

Family was paramount in Billy's life. He is survived by his daughter, Shelly Thibodeaux and her husband Tim of Port Arthur; son, Tommy Paul of Nederland; daughter, Amy Cloud and husband Derrick of Port Arthur; and son, Sammy Paul of Nederland. He took immense pride in his grandchildren, who are a testament to his devotion: Jimmy Paul and his wife Alicia, Derrick Cloud and his wife Samantha, Danielle Gabbard, Marissa Messiner, Candice Paul, Heather Paul, and Kristen Paul. He will be greatly missed by his 14 great grandchildren.  He also leaves behind his sister, Anna Richard and her husband Bubba; sister-in-law, Diane Craigen, sister-in-law, Gail Paul; niece, Robin Pace; and great niece, Layla Lomax.  He will also be missed by his niece, Phyllis Hudson, and nephew Robert Childs, nephew Dennis Craigen and great nephew, Brian Hudson.

Billy was deeply rooted in community, famously known as a proud member of The Masonic Lodge in Alabama, an accomplishment he held dear.

He will be dearly missed by those who knew him, including his late wife of 38 years, Nancy Jo Paul, who graced his life with love and companionship. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Paul Jr. "BG", as well as his parents, Marceline and Thomas Paul, and his brothers, John Paul and Anthony Paul. His heart ached for the loss of his granddaughter, Brandi Thibodeaux, and his grandson, Waylon Paul, who have also passed on.

Visitation will be held on March 26, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service on March 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Both services will take place at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX 77627.

Billy Paul's impact on his family and community is undeniable, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
