William H. Sessions, 87, of Port Acres, Texas passed away June 16, 2019. He was born in Benton, Mississippi on November 13,1931 to the late, Henry Sessions and Florence Bailey Sessions. William served his country proudly in the U. S. Army with the 82nd Airborne. He retired after 44 years of service with the Port Arthur Fire Department, where he retired as the Fire Captain.

Those left to cherish William’s memory are his wife of 35 years, Grace B. Sessions of Port Acres; his daughter, Cathy Wiltcher of Charlotte, NC; his brothers, Ralph sessions of Groves and Jerry “Pat” Sessions and his wife, Elizabeth of Nederland; his sisters, Dora Hurly of Nederland and Jo-Ellen Waddel of Bridge City; his grandchildren, Chastity, Robby, Jr., and Matthew; his great-grandchildren, Travis, Ava, and Dathan; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Connie G. Sessions; his sister, Doris Roy; and his granddaughter, Alex Wiltcher.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County Cemetery in Nederland on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Blake Alling officiant.
