William L. Temple, 95, of Nederland, Texas passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013. William was born December 25, 1917 in Duncan Woods, Texas to James Henry Temple and Lavonia Ducote Temple. He was an area resident for 76 years and member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He retired as a Supervisor from Texaco after 42 years of service and he was also a member of Port Arthur Cosmopolitan Lodge #872. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Temple and after being married 75 years and 9 months he went to be with his partner for life. He was also preceded by two brothers and one sister. Survivors include his daughter, Sandy Wilson and husband Frank of Nederland; son, Bud Temple and wife Kathy of Port Neches; three grandchildren, Helen Harris and husband Steve of N. Carolina, Kathy Lutz and husband Richard of Groves, Bobby Jones and wife Janet of Bryan; one great-grandchild, Jake Lutz and great-great-granddaughter, Peyton Lutz; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Jim Johnson and Dr. Patrick Hunter officiating. A Masonic service will be conducted by Cosmopolitan Lodge #872 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends wishing to make memorial contributions may send them to the Salvation Army or Benevolence Fund at Hillcrest Baptist Church or Cosmopolitan Lodge #872.

Sandy, My prayers are with you and your family. I so much enjoyed talking with your Dad at your Mother's visitation and getting reacquainted. He had a wonderful sense of humor and I know he'll be missed by you and everyone who knew him.
