Willie W. Long

Willie W. Long 94 of Port Arthur passed away on Saturday March 01, 2014 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care in Silsbee, Texas. Willie was born April 28, 1919 in West Point, Mississippi to Wing Key Long and Willie Ada Allen Long. He was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and a 32 degree Mason and life member of the Cosmopolitan Lodge #872 in Port Arthur. Willie served in WWII with the Army 99th Infantry having been awarded the Bronze Star. He retired from Gulf Oil were he worked as an operator. Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Louviere Long, five sisters, and brother-in-law, Dick Keller. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday March 03, 2014 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches with Reverend Gary Masterson officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m.at the funeral home. Willie is survived by his daughter Donna Fortenberry and husband, Jerry of Lumberton, sister, Dorothy Keller, brother, A. D. Long and wife Joy, two grandchildren, Robin Fortenberry and wife, Melissa and Allison LeJeune and husband Justin, four great grandchildren, Raya and Macy Fortenberry and Alysse and Aiden LeJeune.
