Willis J. Marceaux, 92 of Lumberton, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Willis was born in Kaplan, LA. on October 30, 1924 to the late, Willie Marceaux and Exodie Richard Marceaux.

Willie was retired from Vessel Repair/Burton Shipyard with over 60 years of service.

Willie is survived by his sons; Glenn Marceaux and wife, Martha of Silsbee, Dale Marceaux of Dallas and David Marceaux of Lumberton; daughters; Betty Manuel of Kirbyville and Joyce Abate and husband, Ronnie of Lumberton; sister, Virgie Vincent of Victoria; 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Willie is preceded in death by his loving wife, Yolande Marceaux and his sister, Lanie Meaux.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 also at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
