When we lived in Mid-County, I came to love and appreciate Wilma. She loved babies, and she taught me how to swaddle and comfort my youngest. Wilma loved parties and hosted a Christmas ornament party every year until she became ill. We worshipped God together, took day trips to the beach, and even made a trip to enjoy the sights of San Antonio. Those memories are dear to me and my girls.

Nanny (as we called her) took care of my sisters and me when we were little, living in Nederland. She was such a loving and nurturing spirit, and I have so many fond memories playing at her house, eating the strawberry candy out of her candy bowl, and oh how much she loved Christmas. Her and uncle will always have a special place in my heart! I hope they have Christmas trees in heaven!
