Wilson "Put" Charles Guidry

Wilson Put Guidry, 79, of Port Neches passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at his home in Port Neches. Put was born on August 4, 1933 in Port Arthur to the late Wilson C. Guidry and Edith Ledet Guidry. He was a lifelong area resident and proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy. Prior to retirement Put worked as a pipefitter through Local 195 in Nederland and was a member for over 50 years.He is survived by his wife, Linda Guidry of Port Neches son, Jeffrey Guidry of Mauriceville and son, Richard Joffrion of Nederland sister, Janet Smith and husband Jackie of Nederland brothers Ray Guidry and wife Lee of Virginia, Richard Guidry of San Antonio and John Guidry and wife Judy of Nederland grandchildren, Sierra Joffrion and Spencer Smith.Put is preceded in death by his parents and his son Wilson TPut Guidry.Funeral services will be held at Melancons Funeral Home, 1605 Ave. H in Nederland on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 10:00a.m. with Mr. Jeremy Houck of Park Central Christ of Christ officiating, with cremation to follow. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancons Funeral Home.
