Wilson Joseph Veillon, Jr.,from the Port Acres area of Port Arthur, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the age of 55 in Beaumont, Texas. He was a beloved lifelong member of St. Therese, the Little Flower Catholic Church. Wilson's life was a testament to strength, resilience, and kindness despite facing the challenge of being non-verbal.
Born on July 12, 1968, in Port Arthur, Texas, Wilson's impact on those around him was profound. Although he couldn't speak verbally, he communicated volumes through his actions. Wilson's memory will be cherished by all those whose lives he touched.
Wilson vibrant personality immediately drew people towards him. His ability to teach patience, love, and kindness without uttering a single word left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. Beyond that, Wilson's sense of humor and entertaining nature lit up the room wherever he went. He found joy in laughter and shared that joy generously with those around him. He also had a unique way of showing affection by touching foreheads, his special form of a hug that spoke volumes about his loving nature.
In his free time, Wilson indulged in three of his favorite passions: coffee and Cajun and Swamp Pop music. These simple pleasures brought him immense joy and comfort throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilson and Armance Veillon, and Deluke and Gladys Mayers, as well as his aunt Mary Veillon.
Wilson is survived by his devoted parents, Wilson and Linda Veillon of Port Arthur, Texas. Additionally, Wilson leaves behind an array of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will always cherish the memories they created with him.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., at St. Therese, the Little Flower Catholic Church Hall, 6412 Garnet Avenue, in Port Arthur. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions in Honor of Wilson J. Veillon, Jr. may be made to the Little Flower Building Fund.
In the legacy he leaves behind through memories shared with family and friends alike, Wilson Joseph Veillon Jr. will be remembered for his unwavering spirit and his ability to touch hearts without saying a word. May he rest in peace knowing that he brought love and light into the lives of so many who were fortunate enough to have known him.
