Wilton John Prejean, 96, of Carencro, Louisiana passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016. Wilton was born December 11, 1920 in Port Neches, Texas to J. C. Prejean and Julie Hernandez Prejean. He was a longtime area resident residing in Beaumont and Orange before moving to Carencro 5 years ago. Wilton was a retired Civil Engineer. He was a member of Port Neches VFW, Golden Triangle Texas A& M Club, and Texas A& M Club of Lafayette, Louisiana. Wilton proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay L. Prejean. Survivors include his three sons, Wilton Dale Prejean and his wife Ivy of Carencro, LA, Harold Daniel Prejean and his wife Janet of Fort Worth, TX, and John Kevin Prejean of Baton Rouge, LA; brother, Joseph Haywood Prejean and his wife Melba of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. and burial will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
