Winona "Lynn" Billiot

1948 ∼ 2021

Winona Lynn Billiot, 73, of Nome, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on February 9, 1948 to Emmett Adam Billiot and Winona Elaine Woodson Billiot.

Lynn was a lifelong area resident and was the owner of Dales's Cowboy Diner for 8 years.

Lynn loved her children and grandchildren with all she had. It was always Lynn and the six "little dammits". She worked very hard her whole life to provide the best she could for her kids. (What did Maw Maw always do? WORK!) She taught her kids how to survive, love, and fight for what you want in this Life. She told them "NEVER GIVE IN, NEVER GIVE OUT AND NEVER GIVE UP".

She would want her legacy to be her love of Jesus and her family. So to all her family - "I Love You Little, I Love You Big, I Love You Like A Little Fat Pig!"

A visitation for family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Ella Leger officiating.

Lynn is survived by three daughters, D'Trese McIntosh and husband, John Hicks of Kingsville, Texas, D'Lynda Shawn and husband Jim of Taloga, Oklahoma, and Dustye Billiott and fiance' Darrell Berwick, Sr. of Beaumont, son, SGM RET. Daniel Billiott and wife April of Wesley-Chapel, Florida, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Dwayne Aron Shellhammer, daughter, Deidra Lynn Shellhammer, grandson, Daniel Claude Shawn, Jr., and brother, Sidney Michael Billiott.

Friends wishing to make memorial contributions may send them to your favorite local animal shelter in memory of Lynn.

We became next door neighbors and friends back in 1958. Lynn baby sat for my three children. We continued to keep in contact for years. I'm sorry I didn't know of her passing. Please know that I will be lifting y'all up in prayer now and in the days to come.

Lynn you were my mother in-law for many years, there were times (many) when we butted heads, but I know it was all done in love for your son and grandsons, we always knew we could go to you if we needed anything, your love for all your kids (little dammit's) was never a question, they all knew you loved them with all your heart!! I know you are rejoicing in heaven right now with your momma , daddy, brother, Dwayne, Dee Dee. and Daniel....You will be truly missed!! 💕
