Winston Joseph LaFleur Sr

Winston LaFleur, 86, of Nederland, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, in Houston.

A rosary will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. A graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens with Father Jim McClintock officiating.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2022, at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.

Winston was born in Chataignier, Louisiana, on February 3, 1936, he was the son of Joseph LaFleur and Aneverl Marie Fontenot LaFleur. He was a resident of Burkeville for 20 years after moving from Nederland. He worked as a steel worker for many years at J & L Steel in Sabine Pass.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy L. LaFleur; son, Kenneth P. LaFleur; and brother, Ronald D. LaFleur.

He is survived by his son, Winston J. LaFleur, Jr. and wife, Cindy of Friendswood, Texas; son, Russell J. LaFleur and wife, Debra of Greenwell Spring, Louisiana; son, Lindsey T. LaFleur and wife, Michelle of Port Neches, Texas; six grandchildren, Joseph I. LaFleur, Carisa D. Liechty and husband David, Kelsey R. LaFleur, Michael T. LaFleur and wife Alisan, Autumn L. Bradley, and Kendra P. Davis; a great-grandchild, Levi B. Liechty and numerous more; and sister Bernadette M. Duplichan of Nederland.

I was a classmate of Winstons at Port Neches High School. Although he was an All-State football player, he was always a humble, gentle man. It was an honor to know him, and, visit him in his last days. May God comfort his family.
