Yolanda Vasquez, 66, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Yolanda was born April 5, 1949 in Managua, Nicaragua to Rafael Mejia and Sofia Vasquez. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 40 years and was a member of Iglesia Apostolica Church. Survivors include her mother, Sofia Vasquez of Nicaragua; two daughters, Maria del Socorro of Port Arthur, and Martha Suarez of Beaumont; two sons, Domingo Villareyna of Port Arthur and Luis Villarreyna and his wife Michelle of Beaumont; seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Esther Vasquez, Zulema Mejia, Margarita Vasquez, Inez Mejia, and Concepcion Mejia; two brothers, Carlos Mejia, and Francisco Mejia. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas with Pastor Sergio Escobedo officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
